Gingerbread House 2025 is now open for registration – time to start baking!
Theme for 2025: Love
What kind of architecture makes your heart skip a beat? A turn-of-the-century villa, a modernist dream, or the home you grew up in?
This year’s Gingerbread House exhibition celebrates love – for architecture, design, and detail. Perhaps you have a favourite building in your city, or an era that makes your heart beat a little faster. Or maybe there’s someone you’d like to impress with your perfectly piped icing?
Build your dream home, a palace of passion, or a house with a story from the heart. Love can be messy, elegant, grand, crooked, and quirky – just like the most endearing architecture. Together we’ll create an exhibition that smells of gingerbread spice, tastes like imagination, and feels like love.
And don’t forget: love lives in the details.
No, the exhibited gingerbread houses may only contain edible ingredients. A base plate does not need to be edible. Lighting or other technical equipment is not allowed.
No, ArkDes reserves the right to discard the gingerbread houses after the exhibition has ended.
Logos, names of political parties and slogans are not allowed on the houses. Neither are contributions that could be perceived as part of a political campaign or debate. If you are unsure, please contact us at pepparkaka@arkdes.se.
To ensure fair judging and that all entries have the same starting point, entries remain anonymous until the voting is complete. This means that if you are participating in the competition, your entry cannot be shared in external media until the competition is finished.
